Minor girl violated
A seven-year-old girl was violated by an unidentified man at Jodunathpur village in Sadar upazila on Thursday.
The girl, a student of class one, said she was returning home from her grandmother's house, about half a kilometre away from her house, when a man forcibly took her to a bush.
“She was weeping and bleeding when she came home. She said Rahat bhai did this,” said the victim's mother. The parents, however, could not identify who this man called Rahat was.
The man also threatened to kill her and her parents if she disclosed the matter to anyone, added the girl.
The victim's father rushed her to Narail Sadar Hospital around 7:30pmr.
The father said, “I went to Narail thana police and informed the matter. Though I can not identify the culprit, I will file a case.”
“The girl is out of danger. We are preparing the medical report,” said Dr Mina Humayun, medical officer of the hospital.
The victim's family said police were yet to visit the hospital or the spot.
Officer-in-Charge Rofiqul Islam of Narail Police Station said none came to him in this regard rather he got to know this from the papers submitted from the hospital.
