Leaders of different organisations of garment workers yesterday demanded salaries, allowances and overtime payment of garment workers before Eid-ul-Fitr. The leaders of Bangladesh Garments Sramik Oikya Parishad, Bangladesh Sangjukto Garments Sramik Federation and Garment Sramik Sanghati made the demand at separate programmes, says press releases yesterday. The leaders said if the workers do not get their salary before Eid-ul-Fitr, they will be deprived of their right to a better life and urged the government to take necessary steps in this regard.
