Fire sparks panic at city's Mouchak

Hundreds of shoppers got panicked as a fire broke out at a bakery nearby the city's busy Mouchak Market on Friday evening. Firefighters said the fire broke at the bakery, Chattala Confectionary, from an "electric short circuit" at about 7:15pm. Hundreds of shoppers at Mouchak Market and Anarkoli Super Market got panicked following the fire during the post-Iftar shopping. Later, firefighters put out the fire. Hundreds of vehicles got stranded on both ends of Moghbazar-Malibagh road during the fire incident.
