2 ministers' resignation demanded
Speakers demanded the resignation of Communications Minister Syed Abul Hossain and Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan from a human chain programme.
Environmental organisations Jano Uddyog, People's Voice and Paribesh Chhatra Forum jointly arranged the programme in front of Chittagong Press Club in the port city yesterday.
City Corporation Councillor Giyas Uddin, women rights leader Jesmin Sultana Paru and Dr A Q M Shirajul Islam spoke.
They said the government should not follow the shipping minister's suggestion for issuing the motor driving license without proper test.
Speakers said the communications minister has failed to do his job properly.
They demanded immediate reconstruction of the damaged roads.
