Controlling digestive problems during Eid holiday

After a month fasting, it is difficult to hold our tongue during Eid holiday. Many people bulge their belly with lots of food and many of them experience digestive diseases like heartburn or peptic ulcer, diarrheoa or constipation, remission of Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). By maintaining a simple but healthy guideline, you can stay healthy and enjoy the festival with foods. Peptic ulcer diseases (PUD) During the time, our stomachs endure a lot. Many times, we pay for that overeating, ending in the nights — bloated, stomach roiling — with a nightcap of antacid. We should eat four to six smaller meals rather than saving for that special holiday meal. It is important that you avoid overeating. Try to take more water based foods and fibre. Cut down on the foods like coffee, tea, carbonated beverages, citrus fruits and tomato-based products. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) All types of IBS patients might have remission of their symptoms during holiday. Intake of more fibrous and easily digestible food can help reduce symptoms. Isphagula husk and grams are proved to be good for digestive tract. Effect on liver and pancreatic diseases Liver diseases need controlled diet and need avoidance of over eating. Considering these facts, people should take caution taking more food specially fatty meal to prevent fatty liver diseases which is increasing now a days.
