Charge sheet against Ctg trader
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) here yesterday submitted charge sheet against a businessman accusing him of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known income.
ACC Deputy Director Iqbal Hossain submitted the charge sheet against Shamsul Alam, a businessman of Jamal Khan area, to port city's Double Mooring Police Station for placing it to court, said sources at the ACC, Chittagong zone.
Iqbal said ACC framed the charge as it found no source of Shamul Alam's property worth Tk one crore 36 lakh 80 thousand seven hundred six. Moreover, he did not submit any return of his income tax despite he was given notice on December 13 in 2009 in this regard.
Iqbal said they filed a case accusing him with Double Mooring Police Station on May 24 in 2010 as Shamsul did not submit the return.
