Jubo League men stabbed
An armed Jubo League activist stabbed a fellow member in front of Awami League (AL) city office in Rajshahi yesterday.
Pintu, 30, a Jubo League member hailed from the district's Khulipara area, was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital with several stab injuries, said a hospital staff.
Police and witnesses said the incident occurred around 5:30pm when local AL unit was preparing to bring out an anti-terrorism procession protesting the recent violence in Dhaka.
Pintu locked in quarrel with another Jubo League men Raja over taking position on the rally's front row and, at a stage, Pintu was stabbed, said the city unit AL General Secretary Shafiqur Rahman Badsha.
He also said Pintu and Raja had personal enmity.
None was arrested and no case was filed till filing of the report, said Officer-in-Charge Shahadat Hossain of Boalia Police Station.
