Road crashes kill 2
Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Pabna yesterday.
Staff correspondent from Chittagong reports: A readymade garment worker was killed as a speedy bus ran him over while he was crossing the road in front of Barrister Sultan Ahmad Degree College near CEPZ intersection in the port city yesterday.
The deceased is Limon Chakma, 20, son of Sona Lal Chakma, of Kerangatali of Rangamati. He worked at Chittagong Knitwears Pvt Limited in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ).
Police seized the bus but its driver fled away.
UNB from Pabna adds: A sexagenarian man was killed when a vehicle hit him while he was crossing the road on the Pabna-Bogra road near Sanila graveyard at Sanila in Bera upazila yesterday.
Police said identity of the man aged around 60 could not be known immediately.
