Compensation given in coal area
The compensation cheques for the land subsidence affected people of Barapukuria Coal Mine area were distributed among the affected people at the Barapukuria Coal Mine Company office in the district yesterday.
At least 201 affected people got the compensation cheque and around 515 affected people will receive the money gradually, company sources said.
Around 7 decimal land of Kalupara damaged due to the mining, the sources added.
