Tokyo to continue help for Dhaka
Outgoing Japanese Ambassador Tamotsu Shinotsuka yesterday said his country's assistance for socio-economic development in Bangladesh would be continuing in future.
He gave the assurance during his farewell call on President Zillur Rahman at Bangabhaban in the city, said an official release.
The envoy said Japan likes it very much that the people of all faiths live in Bangladesh with equal respect and dignity.
He noted that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's recent visit to Japan enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
