Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka celebrated the 66th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in a befitting manner on Saturday. The embassy also hosted a reception at Winter Garden hall of Ruposhi Bangla Hotel Saturday evening. Land Minister Rezaul Karim Hira attended the function as the chief guest. People from different walks of life including ministers, political leaders, businessmen, academics, civil and military bureaucrats, cultural activists and journalists attended the celebration. Speaking on the occasion, the land minister hoped that the existing friendship between Bangladesh and Indonesia will be further strengthened for the benefit of the people of the two countries. Indonesian Ambassador in Dhaka Zet Mirzal Zainuddin, in his speech, wished that a good relationship and cooperation will develop between the two countries in the days to come. He along with the land minister cut a cake marking the 66th anniversary.
