Stabbed boy dies in city
The teenage boy, stabbed by miscreants at Hazaribagh in the city on Sunday night, succumbed to his injuries at Chest Diseases Hospital at Mohakhali early yesterday.
Victim Rejaul Karim, 17, son of late Abdul Gani, worked in a workshop at Gulistan.
Seven to eight miscreants stabbed him at Hazaribagh Tannery crossing and fled the scene.
Local people admitted Rejaul to the hospital where he died at around 2:00am yesterday.
His aunt Mithila Akhter told The Daily Star that at 5:00pm on Sunday Rejaul went out of the house and had tea at a local restaurant. The criminals attacked him when he was returning home from the restaurant.
After the attack, Rejaul told police the names of the criminals. A murder case was filed with the police.
