Youth missing since Sunday

A youth has remained missing since he went out of his home in Keraniganj, outskirts of the city, Sunday evening. According to the General Diary (GD) filed by his wife with Tejgaon Police Station, Tasaufe Baki Billah Ribin, 30, son of Abdur Rauf of Baro Monohari, went to a bank at Gulshan in the morning to withdraw money. Marium Haque Mitul, wife of Ribin, stated in the GD that she talked with her husband last time around 5:45pm over cell phone when Ribin told her that he was stuck in traffic jam at Farmgate, and it would take a bit of extra time to reach home. Since then the phone was found switched off after repeated attempts, and he did not reach home, Mitul added in the statement. Sub-inspector Abdul Bari of Tejgaon Police Station, who was looking into the matter, said police are not sure from where the victim went missing. They were trying hard to identify the location and would work with his cell phone's call list to know his whereabouts, he added.
