Road crashes kill 3
Three people were killed and 17 others injured in separate road accidents in Natore, Netrakona and Chittagong on Tuesday and yesterday.
Our Natore correspondent reports: A school teacher was killed on the spot when a speedy truck hit him from behind while he was crossing the road in Ahmedpur area of Baraigram upazila on Tuesday noon.
The deceased is Tafiz Uddin, 59, son of Mafiz Uddin, of village Kamardaha of the upazila and a teacher of Kamardaha High School.
Our Netrakona correspondent adds: A labourer was killed and 15 others were injured when a Netrakona-bound bus knocked down a three-wheeler on the Netrakona-Kendua road at Durgashram of Kendua upazila yesterday.
The deceased is Khalilur Rahman, 16, a construction labourer, son of Hashimuddin, of village Chandangati of Sadar upazila.
The injured were sent to Kendua Upazila Health Complex, Netrakona Sadar Hospital and Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Staff correspondent from Chittagong says: One man was killed and two others were seriously injured when a log laden-truck rammed a bus while the bus was waiting for taking fuel at a fuel station at Boro Aulia of Sitakunda on Tuesday night.
The deceased is Abdul Karim, 35, of Mahadebpur of Naogaon.
The injured were sent to Chittagong Medical Collage Hospital.
