'Expand ties among Saarc states'

State Minister for Environment and Forests Hasan Mahmud yesterday urged the Saarc countries to expand cooperation and take quick steps for tackling climate change impacts and natural disasters. He made the call at the 9th meeting of environment ministers of Saarc) member-states at Bhutanese capital Thimphu, said an official release here. The state minister stressed the need for proper implementation of Saarc action plan on climate adopted in Dhaka in 2008.
