BCL man injured in attack
An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Chittagong University (CU) unit was injured in an attack by some miscreants at the University Railway Station in the port city Thursday night.
The injured, Fazle Rabbi Sujon, a third-year student of CU Finance and Banking Department, is now under treatment in Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Witnesses said, after a CU-bound shuttle train stopped at the station, some men got off the train and attacked Sujon, also on board the same train, hitting him with sticks around 9:30pm on Thursday.
Inspector Mizanur Rahman of the university police outpost suspect that Sujon was attacked by activists of the rival faction of BCL.
CU unit BCL President Mamunul Hoque, however, denied that it was a rival attack.
