British Council, UGC to work on knowledge exchange

British Council, Bangladesh inked an agreement with University Grants Commission (UGC) yesterday on facilitating a range of higher education links with the United Kingdom. British Council, Bangladesh Director Rosemary Arnott and UGC Secretary Mohammad Khaled signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective sides at UGC bhaban in the city, said a press release. As per the MoU, British Council will support the higher education sector in Bangladesh by working with UGC and UK institutions to develop strategies and policies for knowledge exchange, the release said. The MoU encompasses, among others, a regional policy dialogue in Bangladesh on universities and communities and a Bangladesh policy dialogue led by UGC on knowledge transfer between universities and the wider community, including business, government and the civil society.
