3 Rohingyas held at airport
Police arrested three female Rohingya refugees along with a suspected Pakistani citizen at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday while they were trying to catch a flight to Bangkok with forged Bangladeshi passports.
The arrestees Nur Ayesha, 18, Jahanur, 35, and Ayesha, 20, were arrested on suspicion from the departure area of the airport around 12:50pm, said Assistant Superintendent of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Dewan Mohammad Jalal Uddin.
Another arrestee is Ismail, 35. The APBn suspect him as a Pakistani citizen as he could not speak Bangla.
