Schoolboy 'commits suicide'
A boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the branch of a tree at his home village in Raozan upazila of the port city yesterday.
The dead, Amit Barua, 13, son of Suman Barua of Andhar Manik village, studied in class four of Oli Miya Primary School.
His relative Suvas Barua said Amit was mentally abnormal and hanged himself from the tree.
Amit was rushed to Chittagong Medical Collage Hospital (CMCH) around 9:30am where duty doctors declared him dead, said Mahmudul Ahsan, a police box constable at CMCH.
