50 injured in road crash

At least 50 people were injured when a Dhaka-bound bus of Parjatak Paribahan coming from Pirojpur lost control and plunged into a 25 feet deep roadside ditch at Nimtoli village of Sadartoli on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Gopalganj yesterday morning. Of the injured, 24 people were admitted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital and 6 to 7 injured people were given first aid. The rest were admitted to different private clinics in the district. Police and fire service men went to the spot and rescued the injured passengers with the help of local people.
