Death anniversary
Today is the 26th anniversary of death of Amin Ahmed Chowdhury, a former assistant editor of now-defunct The Bangladesh Times. On the occasion, a doa mahfil will be held at the village home of the deceased at Ronokali under Golapganj upazila of Sylhet after Esha prayers. Relatives, friends and well wishers have been requested to attend the doa mahfil. Amin, also a former correspondent of the Voice of America World Service and the British daily The Guardian, died of a massive cardiac arrest on this day in 1985 at the age of 40.
