Delhi Blast
Sylhet student released
Indian national Wasim still missing
Law enforcers yesterday released intern Ashrafuzzaman Chowdhury of Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College in Sylhet.
He was detained on October 5 on suspicion of being involved in the September 7 blast in New Delhi.
However, Indian student Wasim of the college still remains missing. He last attended the college on September 22.
Ashrafuzzaman's maternal uncle Nazim Uddin Chowdhury said a jeep dropped Ashrafuzzaman in the city's Amberkhana area around 2:30am. He then called his father Nuruzzaman Chowdhury who rushed to meet him and informed the college.
Family sources said Ashrafuzzaman was blindfolded just after he was picked up near the college campus on October 5 and later quizzed about his Indian intern colleagues and students by people speaking in English, Hindi and Bangla.
