Pro-BNP lawyer sue 5 colleagues
A pro-BNP lawyer yesterday filed a case against five pro-BNP lawyers including two BNP lawmakers for allegedly beating him and snatching valuables.
Mahmudul Arefin Swapan, a Supreme Court lawyer, filed the case against Golam Kibria, Aminul Haque and Rafiqul Islam and lawmakers Mahbubuddin Khokon and Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia with Dhanmondi Police Station.
The case statement says the five accused with some unnamed seven to eight people beat Mahmudul on the second floor of Star Kebab Restaurant in the city's Dhanmondi around 10:30pm on Wednesday, said Officer-in-Charge Moniruzzaman of Dhanmodi Police Station.
The attacker took Mahmudul's wristwatch and Tk 50,000 during the incident, added the statement.
