2 construction workers die in city
A construction worker died after falling from the fifth floor of an eight-storey building under construction in the city's Pallabi yesterday.
The deceased is Mohammad Arif, 24, of Chapainawabganj.
Ramjan Ali, co-worker of the victim, said Arif was making a scaffold at the under-construction building of Hyperion Development Ltd in Mirpur-10. He was declared dead in Dhaka Medical College Hospital..
Meanwhile, another construction worker was electrocuted after falling from an under-construction building in the city's Uttara-11 on Wednesday.
Rabiul Islam, 25, son of Mobarak Hossain of Matlab, Chandpur fell from the second floor and came in contact with a live electric wire, witnesses said.
