S Korea to train 11 EC officials
Korea will train 11 officials of Bangladesh Election Commission and Election Commission Secretariat on Korea's electoral system for a free and fair election.
Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) will organise the 17-day training programme at National Election Commission of South Korea from today.
The participants would review South Korea's election system, be assisted to identify the election system's current status and discuss practical approaches in applying the system here, says a Koica press release yesterday.
The programme would also share Korea's system for free and fair election and the role of National Election Commission.
Korean Ambassador in Dhaka Taiyoung Cho congratulated the participants and expressed his hope that the training would help the officials improve their knowledge in election management.
