Jamaluddin-Bin-Sadeh, Malaysian high commissioner to Bangladesh, yesterday inaugurated the programme launched by DCH in collaboration with MERCY Malaysia, an international organisation, said a press release. Some 60 patients, registered through the DCH's rural health centres across the country, will get the free service along with food, accommodation and travel costs for the patients and their attendants. An 11-member voluntary medical team of MERCY Malaysia headed by Prof Dr Ahmad Sukari-bin-Halim will carry out the project. Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCHT) Chairman Prof Quazi Quamruzzaman and its Coordinator Prof Mahmuder Rahman were also present on the occasion. The ''Cleft lip and palate'' project that began in 2007 is organised every year.
