Domestic help dopes 3
A domestic help allegedly doped three members of a family and made off with the valuables from their residence at Farmgate in the city yesterday.
The victims - Shawkat Ara Haque, 55, her daughter and daughter-in-law - were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. They are undergoing treatment at a local clinic.
Quoting the victims' relatives and security guards of their residence, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police said one Sheela took job as a domestic help of the family on Saturday.
Family members became unconscious after taking breakfast prepared by Sheela yesterday morning, following which she made off with valuables including gold ornaments from the house, police added.
