Goods of Tk 1cr seized at airport
Five arrested
Police arrested five men, including four Pakistani nationals, and seized a huge amount of foreign cigarette, digital video camera, camera, imitation jewelry and VoIP equipment worth around Tk 1 crore from the Shahjalal International Airport (SIA) in the city yesterday.
The arrestees are Mizba Meer, Mohammad Akbar, Ahmed Shaheed, Maksud and lone Bangladeshi Nazrul Islam.
Airport police sources said they seized the goods after scanning their luggage that brought by different airlines to Bangladesh.
The seized goods were sent to customs warehouse.
