JnU student stabbed
An activist of Jagannath University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was critically injured when a section of rival stabbed him before the university main gate in the city yesterday.
The student was Shariful Islam, 24, a master's student of Political Science department and a follower of BCL leader Srabon of the university.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital in critical condition.
Sharif's friend Shaon said a group of BCL activists of Saiful group numbering eight to ten stabbed him around 6:30pm when he was going to withdraw money from ATM booth nearby.
