Three jailed for cheating
A mobile court of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday sentenced three members of a gang to one-year imprisonment and fined Tk 2 lakh each for cheating people in the name of giving jobs.
A Rab-1 team caught Mohammad Arif Hossain Chowdhury, Mohammad Nazrul Islam and Mohammad Mizanur Rahman red handed from airport railway station while receiving 'security money' from a jobseeker. Earlier, the jobseeker lodged a compliant with the Rab in this regard, said Rab Executive Magistrate AHM Anwar Pasha who led the mobile court.
