Robbers loot 20 vehicles
Highway robbers on Saturday night blocked Mirtinga-Bhairabganj road at Mirtinga in Komolganj upazila with logs and looted 20 motor vehicles. They also beat up four people. Three of the injured were identified as Hasmot Ali, 30, Rawshan Mia, 28, of Bherachara village, Maulana Nurul Islam, 60, of Kalachara village while the identity a woman could not be known. Local people said, a gang of armed robbers intercepted nine CNG-run auto-rickshaws, two pickup vans, one Pajero Jeep, two microbuses, four motorbikes, one truck and a private car and looted cash money, mobile phone sets and other valuables at around 8:00pm.
