Death of patient sparks protest
Local people vandalised a private clinic in Sadar upazila Saturday afternoon following the death of a mother oft newborn twins. Subarna Akter, 20, wife of Ayub Ali of Bengroi village of the upazila, died at a clinic at Wireless gate in the district town due to negligence of doctor and clinic authorities, alleged family members. As the news spread, angry locals swooped on the clinic, damaged its window panes and a few chairs. They also blocked the Shahid Swarani Road in the town for 10 minutes.
