Fakrul slams govt
BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir heavily criticised the government yesterday for increasing bulk price of electricity by 33.57 per cent.
Terming the decision “non-democratic” and “one-sided”, he demanded cancellation of the decision immediately.
In a written statement signed by BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Fakrul claimed that the price hike would affect the country's economy badly.
The government is increasing power tariff instead of concentrating on its production, he alleged.
