Sirajuddin's anniversary of death today
Today is the 40th death anniversary of Shaheed Sirajuddin Hossain, former executive editor and news editor of the Daily Ittefaq, says a press release. Pakistani occupation forces and their collaborators Razakars and Al-Badrs took him away from his residence at Chamelibagh in the city on this day in 1971. Since then he had been missing. On the occasion, a milad mahfil and discussion will be held at his residence at 3/11 Asad Avenue at Mohammadpur in the city after Maghrib prayers. Milad mahfil and Qurankhwani will also be held at his village home Shurusuna in Magura.
