Road crashes kill 2
Two people, including a septuagenarian, were killed in separate road accidents in Bagerhat and Pabna yesterday.
Our Bagerhat correspondent reports: An elderly man was killed on the spot when a Bagerhat-bound pickup van crashed him on the Khulna-Mawa road at Joydihi in Mollahhat upazila yesterday afternoon.
The deceased was Hafizur Rahman, 70, of Kahalpur village of the upazila.
Our Pabna correspondent says: A teenage boy was killed on the spot and 10 others were injured when a Pabna-bound microbus hit a Kariman, locally made three-wheeler, at Poradanga village of Sujanagar upazila on Friday.
The deceased was Khairul Islam, 15, son of Sobahan Prang, of village Poradanga in the upazila.
