Syed Nazmul's anniversary of death today
The 40th death anniversary of Shaheed journalist Syed Nazmul Huq, who was killed by the collaborators, will be observed today. Syed Nazmul Huq Smriti Sangsad will observe the death anniversary by reciting the Holy Quran, feeding the poor and holding milad mahfil. The collaborators picked him up on December 10, 1971, and took him blindfolded to Rayerbazar Baidyabhumi where they killed the journalist by charging bayonets and spraying bullets on him. Since independence of the country, the dead body of late Syed Nazmul Huq is missing, a press release signed by Syed Murtaza Nazmul Raju, a member of Syed Nazmul Huq's family, yesterday said.
