Current nets, diesel worth Tk 23 lakh seized
Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) in separate drives yesterday seized current nets and diesel worth about Tk 23 lakh from Cox's Bazar and Chittagong.
Coast Guard personnel in a regular drive seized 40,000 meters of current net worth about Tk 22.8 lakh from Sonadia area under Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station at around 1:00pm, said a BCG press release.
The seized nets were burnt in presence of the Fisheries officer of Cox's Bazar.
In another drive, Coast Guard men recovered 900 litres of diesel worth about Tk 45,000 from 9 no Ghat area under Patenga Police Station in the port city.
