Rafiqul Haider's anniversary of death today
Today is the 40th death anniversary of the martyred intellectual Rafiqul Haider Chowdhury (Eshika), says a press release. The Razakars, collaborators of the Pakistani occupation forces, blindfolded and took him away from his Shahidbagh residence in the city during the War of Liberation in 1971. Later, they killed him. On the occasion, a milad mahfil will be held after Asr prayers at Aminbagh Mosque in the city to mark the day.
