Myanmar citizen arrested with foreign wine
Members of Bangladesh coast guard arrested a Myanmar citizen and seized illegal foreign wine, polythene bags and a wooden boat from his possession in the Naf river in Cox's Bazar on Monday night.
The arrestee was Md Shafique, 19, son of Md Neyamat, of Ukil Para of Mondu district in Myanmar.
Acting on a tip-off, coast guard men conducted a drive and arrested the Myanmar national with 72 bottles of illegal foreign wine; 1,20,000 pieces of polythene bags worth about Tk 1,16,900; and a wooden boat worth about Tk 50, 000, says a press release.
