Call to create awareness about rights of challenged
Speakers at a conference yesterday stressed the need for creating awareness among the people with disabilities about their rights.
If the challenged persons get their rights, they will be able to do things like others, they said.
The conference titled '5th Congregation of People with Disabilities', organised by Federation of Self Help Groups, was held at Human Resource Development Centre in Sitakunda of the district.
ActionAid Country Director Farah Kabir inaugurated the programme while UN committee member for CPRD Mansur Ahmed Chowdhury spoke as the chief guest.
