Road crashes kill 2

Two people were killed and another was injured in separate road accidents in Natore and Kurigram in last two days. Our Natore correspondent reports: Death of a youth in a road accident triggered violent protest in Bonbelghoria bypass area of Natore town on Monday night. The deceased was Maksed Ali, 27, is son of Afsar Ali of Bonbelghoria area. Locals said the accident occurred on Monday evening when a Pabna-bound bus hit Makshed's bicycle from behind while it was crossing the road. Hearing the news of Maksed's death, the agitated locals damaged five buses and blocked Rajshahi-Natore highway, hampering traffic movement for an hour at about 8:00pm. Our Kurigram correspondent says: One motorcycle rider was killed on the spot and another injured when a Kurigram-bound bus hit the motorcycle while it was turning at Riverview High School square in Kurigram town yesterday. The deceased was Mohammad Ali Jadu, 55, and the injured was Raushan Ali, 45. Both are inhabitants of Maratari village of Ghogadaho union of Kurigram Sadar upazila. The injured was admitted to Kurigram Sadar Hospital.
