HC verdict on Khaleda's petition today
The High Court (HC) will deliver its verdict today on a petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for scrapping the proceedings against her in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
The HC fixed 2:00pm today to pass its verdict following yesterday's hearing on the rule issued earlier by it over scrapping the proceedings against the BNP chairperson in the case.
Following the petition filed by Khaleda Zia, the HC issued the rule on October 15, 2009 asking the government and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to explain why the proceedings against her should not be scrapped.
