Thai princess meets Hasina
Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn yesterday made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Gono Bhaban.
They discussed various matters relating to mutual interests, including cooperation in the areas of agriculture, food security, women empowerment and child nutrition.
The prime minister said both the countries have agreed to sign a MoU for bilateral cooperation in the areas of agriculture and fisheries and livestock.
She said Bangladesh is keen to develop poultry, fisheries and other agro-based industries following the Thai successes and experience in these sectors.
