Housewife stabbed to death
A husband allegedly stabbed his wife to death during a quarrel over allegation of extramarital affair of his wife in the city's Pallabi yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Sabita Akhtar, 22.
Rashida Begum, an aunt of the deceased, alleged that Mohammad Harun locked into an altercation with his wife Sabita around 11:00am at her house at Duaripara accusing Sabita of having an extramarital relation.
At one stage, Harun, a garment worker at Mirpur, stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife, leaving her critically injured.
Harun and Rashida rushed Sabita to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared her dead.
