Shibir man under BCL attack at BAU
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) allegedly beat up president of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) of the university unit yesterday noon.
The victim is Bayazid Haque Rony, a final year student of Agriculture Faculty of BAU.
Sources said Bayazid came under attack by a group of BCL activists on the campus around 12 noon.
Secretary of ICS BAU unit Solaiman Hossain said the BCL men beat up Bayazid without any reason while president of BAU BCL unit Shamsuddin Al Azad claimed that Bayazid along with other ICS activists were distributing leaflets opposing the trial of the war criminals.
Later, the leaflets were burnt, Azad said.
