JU, FSIB sign MoU of Tk 120 cr

Jahangirnagar University (JU) and Fellowship for Social Investment, Bergen (FSIB) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) of Tk 120 crore with a view to establishing new departments and taking different development activities in the university. JU Treasurer Prof Md Nasir Uddin and FSIB General Secretary Md Sadik Hasan signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organisation, said a press release. Under the deal, FSIB, a non-profit social welfare organisation of Norway, will establish a nursing institute as well as other departments of medical science in the university. A trauma centre will also be established to give medical treatment to the physically challenged and paralysed persons. Besides, FSIB will give special assistance to the educational and infrastructural development of 'Anandashala', a school of special need children on the campus.
