I guess Shakib is the only Bangladeshi cricketer who can be called Tiger as he plays well regularly and is not like other players who may play well in one match, but would then fail to maintain the trend by presenting poor performance in several other matches. This 24-year-old player is now the no.1 all-rounder in the Test and ODI cricket. In previous few matches we saw that he tried his level best to support the team and the recent proof of his fantastic performance was against the Pakistan team. This sublime player became the first Bangladeshi to score a hundred and take five wickets in an innings during a Test series. And his 144 run and 6 wickets for 82 won him the Man-of-the-Match award! This was Shakib's second century in Test and it lifted his average run rate to 34.68. After a long time Bangladesh has earned glory in cricket. He has proved that Bangladeshi players are capable of performing miracles. Hope this accolade earned by Shakib will encourage our young players to perform like the real tigers!
