Monajat's death anniversary today
Today is the 16th death anniversary of journalist Monajat Uddin. Monajat died after falling from a ferry on the way to collect information for an investigative report outside of Dhaka when he worked for the daily Janakantha. Monajat received more then half dozens awards including Shwadhinata Padak and Philips award. A meeting and award giving ceremony titled “Charon Sangbadik Monajatuddin Smrity Puroshkar 2009 and 2010” will be held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity today, says a press release.
