Journo killed in road crash

A journalist was killed in a road accident at Kotalipara upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased was Monez Das, 65, Kotalipara upazila correspondent of The New Nation. Witnesses said Monez was run over by a speeding truck near Mary Cinema at about 12:00 noon while he was going to Sadar upazila from Ghagar Bazar riding his motor cycle. He died on the spot. The driver and helper of the vehicle fled the scene leaving the truck. People set the truck on fire.
