Hamidullah Khan to be buried today
Wing Commander (Retd) M Hamidullah Khan Bir Pratik will be buried at Banani graveyard in the city today.
Hamidullah passed away on Friday afternoon at Combined Military Hospital.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep shock at the death of noted freedom fighter Hamidullah Khan. In a message of condolence on Saturday, she recalled his contributions in 1971. She also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her profound sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
Leader of the Opposition and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, flanked by the party leaders paid her last respect to Hamidullah, the party's freedom fighter affairs secretary, by placing the party flag and a wreath on his coffin when his body was brought to the party central office at Nayapaltan at around 11:20am
His namaz-e-janaza was held in front of the BNP central office. Special prayers were offered seeking divine blessings for the departed soul.
